Published on 2020-07-02
In 2019, Ports de Normandie launched the first phase of the development of the Ouistreham outer port: the installation of a guidance system allowing passage through the Ouistreham locks of larger vessels (from 24 to 27 , 4 m), thus meeting the new standards of world traffic. Cost of the site: 12 M € (10 M € Ports of Normandy and 2 M € CCI Caen Normandie). Highly anticipated by the port community, this device, which aims to secure the economic future of the port, is entering its final phase with the recent installation of defense shields manufactured by the Manche Industrie Marine (MIM) company based in Dieppe.
